Beijing
Beijing was declared the capital city of China by King Wu in 576 BC. Back then it was called Ji the name eventually changed to Zhongdu then Dadu. In 1421 the Emperor ChengZu landed on the name Beijing. Yet, in the West, governments and journalists referred to the city as Peking. Today, its Beijing.
Expected
In the winter the temperate averages around 6 degrees Celsius and in the summer about 26 Celsius.
The city has 18 districts or counties and has a population of about twelve million. The people are extraordinarily welcoming and friendly especially to visitors from the West. Beijing is one of the few cities of the world to have a sophisticated, efficient system of ring roads and inter-ring connecting roads. This makes it a remarkably easy city, for its size and complexity, to move in and around.

Unexpected
Like any other five thousand year old city, Beijing has its share of surprises. These are things that arent even on your expectations radar screen. Theyre also the kind of things youll find yourself remembering with exceptional fondness for years to come. For example;
A pub crawl down the Sanlitun Embassy district
Pizza to rival any in Chicago (Owl Café)
Country & Western Nightclub (Nashvilles)
Of course its impossible to list all of the things you might not expect to experience in Beijing. Suffice it to say, that the better we get to know you and your groups dynamic, character and style the more likely we will be able to make your moments in Beijing as memorable as humanly possible.
Golf
We view Beijing as primarily as a touring venue but, if you wish, we can make arrangements at Beijing International or any one of a number of other fine private clubs.
