At golf clubs around the world, Sunday is often the busiest day of the week. Not so at The Old Course at St. Andrews. In fact, on the vast majority of Sundays, there isn’t a golfer to be found.
It’s a tradition which originated centuries ago and was steadfastly upheld by Old Tom Morris. The longtime Keeper of the Green maintained that if “the golfer doesn’t need a rest, surely the course does.” His wisdom still holds true to this day, at a time when nearly 50,000 rounds are played on The Old Course every year.

Pay a visit to some of the best 19th holes in St. Andrews, take a stroll through its famous cemetery, or walk the historic links and give yourself a little preview of that long-awaited tee time on The Old Course.
