Duel at Troon: Part II

Last week, the R&A announced that Royal Troon will host the 152nd Open Championship in 2023. The 2016 showdown between Henrik and Phil was coined the Duel at Troon, and we can only hope that another edition awaits. Until then, here’s some of the historic moments of past Opens at Royal Troon and the famous holes which make it a popular stop for golf travelers heading across the pond.

And speaking of The Open… Ahead of the return of the Claret Jug in 2022, Royal Liverpool is overseeing a variety of updates to its historic links. The most notable of these is a new 17th hole, which just might become one of the great short par-3s in the game.
